My name is Emily Wenrick and I am the founder of Cap’n Coconut. If we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, hello and welcome!

The world of skincare and self-care became my focus in life in 2014 when I was diagnosed with melanoma and I started making my own coconut body balm in my kitchen. As I learned about skin cancer, the dangers of toxic ingredients and tanning beds, and how to bounce back after an unexpected illness, I put my energy into making my coconut potions to stay positive and to build my confidence and mental health back up. 10 years later, I am a proud master esthetician giving back to my hometown on the Oregon Coast.

I’ve always truly enjoyed caring for people and helping them find their beauty, strength, and power. Once you love yourself, nothing can get in your way. Creating Cap’n, and seeing my clients feel wonderful in their skin, pushed me to expand the line, and ultimately expand into offering services that I love, believe in, and did not have access to while growing up in rural areas.

Since opening the Cap’n Coconut Sunshine Studio with Hair Remedies Salon in Cloverdale in tandem with my headquarters in Pacific City during the Summer of 2023, providing nourishing, holistic, custom skin-care services and beauty treatments has become my absolute passion and filled my heart like never before - all of you are what makes this work so meaningful. I am so happy to be right here right now - and pumped for what’s to come. 💕
